Join OutdoorLads for a roughly 7 - 8 mile linear route from Alnmouth beach to Warkworth Castle Hermitage.
This easier hike involves a couple of minor detours around the estuary and gives great views of Alnmouth from St Cuthberts Cross via a tiny abandoned church.
We will walk through Alnmouth to the start of the estuary and continue a beach walk up to the castle.
The terrain is a mix of hard standing, mud and sand. It is all dog friendly. There are no inclines or climbs of note the walk being fairly level and very picturesque throughout.
At the end of the walk there is a pub called the Masons Arms that is a good size for a walking group to enjoy and visit so we will be looking to seek warm shelter for a pause here.
After the walk we can jump on the bus to return to Alnmouth. The fare will be no more than £3.00
