Peak District Farmhouse Weekend

Edale is one of the classic and popular Peak District villages, with access onto Kinder Scout, the start of the Pennine Way and great walking in a multitude of locations all around. However, despite its popularity, it remains peaceful and attractive.
This event places us in a particularly remote location, in a rustic building along a track, away from the main village, but still within easy reach of superb walking.
Edale is easily reached by train from Sheffield or Manchester.
The main focus of the weekend will be one or may day walks in the surrounding, dramatic Peak District countryside.
What to bring
Please note that you will need to bring your own towels, bed linnen and pillows to this event as they are not supplied. A sleeping bag may be sufficient, but it's up to you.
On Saturday we will most likely do a full day walk, so you will need a rucksack, boots and clothing appropriate for the predicted weather. Given the time of year, that is liekly to involve warm and waterproof layers.
Food & drink
For the Friday night we would ask you to bring a contribution to the traditional OutdoorLads buffet - more details will be provided by the event leader nearer the time.
The event cost includes breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday evening. Tea and coffee is provided throughout the weekend.
You will need to bring your own packed lunch items for Saturday, and any other drinks you want.
We may take a trip to one of Edale's two pubs for drinks at some point during the weekend, depending on the weather, timings and the desires of the group.
