A 16 mile circular route starting and finishing in the picturesque village of Tintwistle in the High Peak. From our start point at the War Memorial we will head gently to Tintwistle Low Moor before a steady climb up to and across Arnfield Moor. From there we will enjoy a steady descent to Swineshaw Reservoirs. A continuing descent sees us skirt first Brushes, then Walkerwood reservoirs before a steady ride along the east side of Carrbrook before heading up into Greenfield. Greenfield marks the approximate half way point of our ride and we’ll find a nice place to stop for some much earned lunch. Our return journey takes us on a gentle ride along the Tame Valley Way down to Mossley then on to Carrbrook where we will pick up our original route. From here we will retrace our route back up to the reservoirs, over the moors and onto Arnfield Lane for the last mile to the War Memorial. Finishing at the War Memorial, the Bulls Head Public House is right next door and serves some excellent food and drink for those wishing to end the day with some fine refreshment. Bring your camera to capture some of the High Peak’s finest scenery.
Food & drink
