Congratulations to Rob, Roger, Chris, Graeme, Paul and Kong who all passed their National Navigation Award Scheme Bronze Award today after two great days out in The Peak District under the expert tuition of volunteer Simon.

Don't worry if you missed this training weekend as we'll be running more next year including NNAS Bronze and Silver Awards.

We're very pleased to announce that the new South East Walks team is shaping up nicely and the following Members have now been appointed as Walks Organisers.

  • Simon Ellicott - 'Wessex' - Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and IoW (with some overlap with SWSW)
  • Chris Chipchase - London, Herts, Surrey and Middlesex
  • Neil Sharp - East Anglia area (covering Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambs, Essex & some overlap with South Lincs (with Central region))
  • Simon Hawthorn will look after the NW Home Counties (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire) until we can find a permanent Organiser.

We are still actively recruiting for the final area - Kent, E Sussex, W Sussex.

Our Walks Organisers are responsible for encouraging leaders to create and lead walking events, checking & approving walking events, supporting the training and assessment of Members who have applied to be Walk Leaders and encouraging Members to become Leaders.

We wish the four of them the best of luck!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who completed this year's Member Survey. The results are in and they're AMAZING!

These charts show the percentage of Members who 'agree' or 'strongly agree' with the each statement.
