Starting in the agricultural town of Wooler, this walk heads out and up onto St Cuthbert's Way along Weetwood Moor. It's then on to Haugh Head to cross Wooler Water and on to the beautiful Happy Valley along the Coldgate Water. The hike then follows the Carey Burn with nice views of the burn pouring over the rocky land. At the woods, the walk joins the Hell Path (probably a corruption of Hill Path). From Hell Path, it's on to St Cuthbert's Way and back down into Wooler for refreshment.
NOTE: If you suffer from vertigo, this walk might not be for you as the path at Carey Burn is on the side of a steep hill and has loose shale in places.
