A day walk inspired by the 'Railway Rambles for Londoners' from the late 30's.

It is a linear walk from Dorkng main station to Clandon via Denbies wineyards and Ranmore Common to Newlands Corner, before heading north to Clandon Station.  We will be having a lunch stop along the way and there is a cafe by Newlands Corner, so we will have a quick pit stop there for a cuppa and then heading, either to the pub en route or straight to the station depending on the time and mood when we get there.

The Railway Rambles were originally published in the late 1930's by a P.B. Mais.  It was mainly an encouragement to use the services of the railway companies that sponsored him.  Two years ago Andy Martin, the SE walks Coord starting re-viving them with great success.
