Event Overview

Every year, to coincide with Glasgow's Pride weekend, the Glasgow Frontrunners organise a timed 5-mile run around Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park and this year ODL are helping to support the event by inviting our members to participate.

GFR are also arranging a number of social events over the whole weekend, including: -

  • Welcome Drinks and Social in The Gallery Bar (Friday 18th, 20.00)
  • Dinner in Cafe Source (Saturday 19th August, 17.00-21.00)
  • The Frontrunner Ceilidh at St Andrews in the Square (Saturday 19th August, 20.30)

ODL will also be taking part in the Pride Parade which takes place in the afternoon.

This year's OUTrun is planned to be the biggest yet, with 500 places available. These are filling up fast, so book soon to ensure your place! And remember to wear your ODL T-shirt for the run to help promote us too!

What to bring

You should arrive changed and ready to run. There will be a bag drop area where you may leave a change of clothing for after the run.

Food & Drink

Free coffee, tea and cakes will be available at the end of the race. Participants are invited to bake a cake and bring it along - there will be a prize for the best cake!

Getting to the Event

The run starts at 09.30 prompt at the Prince of Wales Bridge in Kelvingrove park (nearest entrance is from the north end of Kelvin Way, near the University). You should aim to be there for around 08.45 to collect your bib numbers and timing chip.

Buses that pass closest to Kelvingrove Park are numbers: 3, 4, 4a, 15, 17 and 77.

Nearest railway stations are Charing Cross or Exhibition Centre
