Recently heard about ODL at Pride - want to give it a go, experience some coutry air without venturing beyond the M25? Then join Chris on this 11 mile summer wander and complete a stage of the 150 mile London Loop. We've done a good chunk of the loop over the last year. This is the fourteenth and penultimate 'official' stage and takes us cross country from Chigwell to suburban Harold Wood.
The London Loop
If the London you know extends to Westminster, The City and Soho, the London Loop will give you an insight into a very different side to London. (Pretty much all within zone 6) and reachable with little more than an Oyster Card. It's the London that those living 'out there' already know well but you might be surprised by. On its 150 mile route, the Loop takes you through ancient woodland, historic parkland, quaint villages and along canal sides, farm tracks and suburban streets.
Food & drink
Bring a packed lunch, snacks and plenty of water for the walk (more if its warm weather). There are a few shops in Chigwell but after than the urban / residential sections of the walk are fairly limited so better to come prepared!
