What to bring

You don't need much for bouldering, which is another part of its appeal. The only specialist kit you will need are rock climbing shoes which can be hired from the centre. There are cages and secure lockers to leave your things which take a £1 coin (which you get back).

A t-shirt or vest and shorts or tracksuit bottoms are best to wear. No jeans or any other clothes which could restrict movement. Please try and wear any OutdoorLads branded clothing as this will give the group a good level of visibility. You'll also need this if you'd like to make use of the Outdoorlads discounts at the centre.

Any jewellery such as rings, watches, chains or bangles should be removed before beginning the session to prevent injury.

Food & Drink

The centre has a cafe which serves hot and cold drinks and snacks and you’re welcome to take a break during the event. After the event we'll head to a local pub where we can catch up with how our climbing went and get a spot of lunch.

Meeting & Times

Please log in or register to view this information.

First time at this centre?

Please sign up so the event leader knows who to expect. You will need to register with the centre and pay an entry fee before being allowed to use the facilities. For entry prices and to register go to: www.vauxwallclimbing.co.uk. Pre-registering online is free but you will be charged extra for registering on the day.

You’ll need to watch a five minute safety video here: http://www.vauxwallclimbing.co.uk/pre-register/bouldering-induction-vide... the staff will ask a safety question when you arrive at the centre before you can start climbing.

Participation Statement

Please note that every person participating should be aware of (and accept) that those members perceived as ‘in charge’ or leading the event are not necessarily qualified, do not need to be qualified, and are not regarded by OutdoorLads, or themselves as ‘technical experts’ but are amateur climbers with some experience and who are happy to impart their knowledge. Any advice given should be considered with this in mind by the recipient.

All those attending the event must also be aware of the centre's own terms and conditions of participation and abide by them, along with any instructions given by the centre’s staff. Everyone must also take responsibility for their own safety while participating in Indoor climbing events.
