Ledsham and Fairburn Ings Evening Walk

This easy 5 mile circular summer evening walk will begin in the pretty Yorkshire village of Ledsham, just 10 miles from Leeds City centre. Good paths and tracks take us from the village through fields and woods towards Fairburn Ings RSPB Nature Reserve. This former coal mine is now a centre for biodiversity including woodland, pools, grassland and marshland. Taking the path around the reserve we may see a variety of wildlife, including a Kingfisher. Our path home takes us back across fields and woodlands and into Ledsham. Hopefully a sunny summer evening will allow us to sit and have a drink in the beer garden at the Chequers Inn pub before we head home.
