We've had a taster of what Inverlochlarig has to offer with Beinn Tulaichean & Cruach Ardrain in April and now it's time for the main course: Stob Binnein & Ben More!

Two classic mountains, by far the highest in the area and with none higher to the South in all of the UK.

From Inverlochlarig we'll climb steeply to the North, straight from the car park, before easing off onto the named top of Stob Invercarnaig. From there we'll climb more gently along a distinctive broad ridge to a further named top of Stob Corrie an Lochain (1068m) and our first Munro peak, Stob Binnein (1165m), taking in the stunning views that these high peaks allow.

Then on to Ben More (1174m), descending first to the low col between our two peaks and then regaining height for our second Munro summit. More view opportunities here with Stob Binnein being by far the most impressive peak in the area.

We'll then retrace our steps to complete the walk, re-climbing Stob Binnein as we go.

Be aware that this will be a long day and a challenging route in terms of stamina and fitness, the total ascent on this event will be 1720m or one and a quarter Ben Nevises. Please carefully assess your suitability for this event before signing up and contact the event leader if you are in any doubt.

Later in the evening, why not freshen up and chat the day over with fellow ODL-ers at the Glasgow Social, no one will have had a bigger day out! :
