Join us on this fantastic road cycle through the White Peak within the Peak District National Park. We'll be riding from Hope, easily accessible from Manchester and Sheffield, though the finely sculpted landscape of drystone walls and limestone edges, south towards the Monsal Trail, an old railway line that's now the UK's most spectacular off road cycling route (surface is suitable for road bikes down to 25C tyres). There'll be ice cream aplenty at the end before we head back up onto the White Peak, through Perry Dale, before we descend the magical Winnats Pass back to Hope.

Pace and Terrain

On road, with some longer climbs. You do need reasonable personal fitness for this event, however the day is intended to be an outing rather than an endurance test. We will stop for slower riders to catch up whilst going faster in between stops to allow them to develop their technique and fitness. Broadly, anyone who commutes over 5 miles or has recently cycled over 25 miles without difficulty will be able to complete this ride. A road bike rather than a hybrid will make things much easier!
