Hilbre Island

We'll set from West Kirby Railway Station & head out across the causeway to Hilbre Island. The Islands are cut off from the mainland by the tide for up to 5 hours each day.

Little Eye & Middle Eye are both unpopulated but Hilbre Island does have a a few privately owned properties.

Once we've taken in the wild but peaceful scenery we'll head back to the mainland to join the Wirral Way heading in the direction of Thurstaston Hill & Mariners Column, which on a clear day will allow for stunning views of the Welsh coastline. We'll drop backdown to West Kirby for a well earned pint.
