2018 is upon and we are back to Turner Hall Farm for this year, to bask in the (hopefully) glorious sun and tackle the array of surrounding mountains, or maybe even just to chill and enjoy a pint at the local pub after a dip in the nearby river. It is all possible this weekend!
Turner Hall Farm features in the Cool Camping list at number 3 nationally, which is a tremendous achivement and one that you will appreciate on arrival as Harter Fell, Coniston and the Scafell massif are all visible from the area.
So come and see what the Hidden Lake District truly is. It is something very special, I can assure you.
CAMPSITE FACILITIES
There are showers/wash facilities at the farm at the start of the main field. Showers at £1 for 4 minutes so please bring change with you.
The campsite allows BBQ'S but campfires that are ground based are not permitted. Fires raised off the floor and with protection for the grass underneath are permitted.
Food & drink
Please bring your own food for the weekend - breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There is a pub a short walk away (less than half a mile) which serves food until 8.30pm on both nights, this is a great venue with good ales, wines and a fab atmosphere.
There is a very basic local shop in Ulpha, on the way into the valley but its opening times are somewhat sporadic, so please stop for supplies in Broughton-in-Furness or earlier when arriving.
