For those who don't mind getting wet, you have the choice of two water-based activities: Raft Racing or Stand-up Paddle Boarding. These activities carry and extra cost and places are limited, so book ASAP via the links below as soon as you have signed up to the event.

The water-based activities have been timed in the morning and afternoon so you can do both if you like, or combine them with another, free activity.

Exactly what free activites we are able to offer will depend upon leader availability. If you are a leader and would like to lead a walk, climbing or cycling, please get in touch with Mark ASAP.

Join Wilco for a day of climbing outdoors at Birchen Edge, a lovely and easily accessible crag a short drive away in the Peak District. You’ll need to bring your personal climbing gear if you have it – harness, belay equipment, rock shoes and helmet. If you have a trad rack and/or rope (50m should be ideal), please bring those along too. To make the most of the day, if you haven’t climbed ‘trad’ before, to take part in this event ideally you will have lead climbed indoors and know how to belay a lead climber. At the very least you will have had some indoor climbing experience on top rope and be able to put on a harness and tie yourself onto the rope safely. If you haven’t had any climbing experience before, why not try out your local ODL indoor climbing event where you’ll be everything you need to know to get started!
