BSC2017: A Dam Fine Day Walk – Llyn Cowlyd and Dolgarrog

NB A short drive will be required for this walk.

From Pont Dolgarrog, we head up through the forest with the little known peak of Moel Eilio to our right (there are other Moel Eilio’s in North Wales too….just to confuse you).  We then reach the dam wall of the reservoir at Llyn Cowlyd which stretches almost to the other side of the mountains and the A5 main route.  From the dam, we have a short steep ascent to take the path the other side of Moel Eilio before returning back to Dolgarrog and our cars back to camp.
